I&#8217;ve been thinking about that a lot lately. My recent post\u00a0<a title=\"It\u2019s what I do!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hectic-dad.com\/hectic-dad\/its-what-i-do\/\"><em>It&#8217;s What I Do!<\/em><\/a> addressed that. The post ended on a positive note, but there are some lingering feelings that I do still have. Namely, there are some really lazy things that my family does that drive me crazy. While I don&#8217;t mind shouldering more than my share of the load, it would sure be sweet if they would actually pick up some themselves. Literally.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s my list of things that I&#8217;m tired of doing around the house that could just as easily be done by the\u00a0<i>perpatrators<\/i>\u00a0of the mess. Does this list look anything like yours?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Things I&#8217;m Tired of Doing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Turning off lights<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning the lint trap in the dryer<\/li>\n<li>Putting toilet paper on the roller<\/li>\n<li>Loading dishes into an empty dishwasher<\/li>\n<li>Closing drawers<\/li>\n<li>Picking up cups, dishes, and plates from rooms where they never should have been anyway<\/li>\n<li>Shutting doors<\/li>\n<li>Picking up laundry deposited next to the laundry bin<\/li>\n<li>Emptying half-full cups<\/li>\n<li>Turning socks right-side out<\/li>\n<li>Picking up jackets, bags, and generally stuff that drops\u00a0<em>wherever<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Plugging in devices that were borrowed so they charge<\/li>\n<li>Clearing dirty dishes from the table<\/li>\n<li>Hanging up coats on the floor right by the closet<\/li>\n<li>Picking up shoes piled next to the shoe shelves<\/li>\n<li>Throwing away food trash left by the microwave (in our case, next to the trash can)<\/li>\n<li>Picking up crayons, pencils, and pens<\/li>\n<li>Putting toys back in the toy box&#8230;all two feet from where they toys were laying<\/li>\n<li>Stowing food that was left on the counter after snack prep<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<div align=\"center\"><a title=\"Mums' Days\" href=\"http:\/\/mumsdays.com\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mumsdays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Badge-sml.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Mums' Days\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/honestmum.com\/category\/brilliant-blog-posts\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i.imgur.com\/fJzNWoE.jpg?resize=301%2C189\" alt=\"Brilliant blog posts on HonestMum.com\" width=\"301\" height=\"189\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are times when you just reach a point that you want to sit down and give up.
